Season Kickoff: Big Hit cloudy spod mix!

Season Kickoff: Big Hit cloudy spod mix!

Season Kickoff!
Autor: Patrick Sleenhoff

Fishing on a 3,5 hectare lake in the Poitou charentes region in france it was my kickoff of the Season.

After a week of frost a week ago the lake is slowly waking up. Yesterday and today the sun is doing its job and the fish is getting more active.

Because of the slow action with normal bottom bait tactics I decided to get on the zigs using the Crafty Catcher zig bites.

In these situation you want to give that little extra attraction around your hookbait by using the Big Hit cloudy spod mix. Easy to prepare by just adding some lake water to get the slopy structure. The munga cloud gives that extra milky attraction to the mix to make it even more attractive for the carp.

Fishing in 4,5 meter depth i placed the zig 2,5 meters above the bottom.

I started with 8 spombs. Every 30 minutes i gave it 2 spombs and after an hour and a half the ultimate feeling ...... a take on the zig.

After a short battle i landed a beautifull 12,5 scaly mirror. What a result!

Greetings,

Patrick Sleenhoff
